Liverpool

It’s easy to see why Liverpool would be the best holiday destination for any music lover.  This is because Liverpool is the birthplace of one of the greatest bands to ever perform, the Beatles. Liverpool has not forgotten the impact that the Beatles had on music and still actively celebrates them every day, with Beatle themed bars and the Beatle Museum. If you’re someone who loves the Beatles, then you’ll absolutely adore Liverpool. The original cavern club that the Beatles regularly performed in is also still open to the public to enjoy live music and very commonly a Beatles tribute act. Not only does Liverpool fulfill any dreams of a Beatles fan, but Liverpool also hosted a number of bands that you know and love. For example, Joy Division would regularly perform at the Hope and Anchor pub, a pub that is still open today. Meaning that you can sit back and enjoy a drink while basking in the location that once housed some great musicians. Liverpool itself is also just a lovely place to visit, with plenty of places to eat and many really popular hotels to stay in, you could make a week of it.

New Orleans is described as the ‘mixing pot’ of America, and you can see why. Many diverse music genres have had their starts in New Orleans and no more so than the blues and jazz genres. In the past, New Orleans had a mainly African American population, and with that came the love of blues. There are plenty of tours of bars and popular spots where some of your favorite songs were performed and so you can really immerse yourself into what it would have been like to be a part of the growing New Orleans culture. New Orleans also has a spiritualist element to it, with many of its residents believing in the existence of ghosts and voodoo, so you would not be short on entertainment when you visited.
