Bluetooth vs Aux: Which System Is Best for Your Car

Out of both simple ease and option, it has become the new norm for the phone to act as a replacement for the radio station when listening to music in your car. This decision is actually a bit of a no brainer as it manages to offer you complete control over the music that is played in your car, unlike with a radio station where you may like one in every ten songs. The big question is what adaption system should you use? Aux or Bluetooth. This passage will break down both the pros and the cons of both systems, then I will compare the two and give my own personal opinion.

Bluetooth- The Breakdown

Well, just to quickly let you know the key difference between a Bluetooth system and an Aux system, is an Aux is wired and Bluetooth is wireless. The real pro of using Bluetooth is the simple ease of it all, without any wires you can use a Bluetooth system from up to 33 feet from your car. The biggest pro for Bluetooth users is the variety involved, a Bluetooth system can allow a user to speak on the phone or text simply through the use of their voice. Which truly sounds like the future. The Bluetooth system offers a user complete handsfree control over their phone. Finally, what is truly key is the smart look of a Bluetooth system without any wires you can have a clean and modern looking car.

On the other hand, what the Bluetooth system does offer in modernity can have a tendency to lose out on reliability. The whole process requires an excruciatingly long pairing process which can be especially frustrating when trying to introduce new phones to your system. It has also become a well-known fact that Bluetooth can decrease the fidelity of your sound system, meaning the quality of music on Bluetooth is actually worse. Bluetooth is also not a universally used system, while the Aux system can be found just about anywhere. I will now breakdown the Aux system before comparing the two.

Aux- The Breakdown

What is absolutely key for the Aux cable system is the sheer simplicity of the process, you simply plugin and you are ready to go. Another pro of the system is the quality of the audio, with no compression or conversion system, unlike the wireless system. You do have to think through what do you plan on using your sound system for? Well, if you are a true sonic head then the Aux is the way forward quick to plugin and with a far superior sound fidelity. What is also brilliant for the Aux connection system is the universal nature of the process, if you go into any car throughout the country then you are bound to find an Aux cable.

On the other hand, you need to consider the fact that the Aux cable can be quite easily broken if it is not properly cared for. If you simply drop your phone with the cable in it is quite easy for the cable to snap or even worse, it may actually break while in the phone’s headphone jack. Another big issue is that major technology corporations are now all moving passed the use of the headphone jack, with the introduction of air pods and other wireless headphones. This does infer that the days of the Aux cable may unfortunately be behind us.

So, if we compare the two it must be said that by sheer modernity the Bluetooth system is superior. Though I have listed the technological superiority of the Aux cable it is slowly becoming extinct. As we see by the introduction of the air pods and other general wireless headphones; if your phone does not have a headphone jack then it would be completely pointless to own an Aux cable for your car. What is absolutely important when comparing the two is that you learn more about these car speakers, so you know which speakers and therefore which system will be best for your music listening experience.

The Best Holiday Destinations for Music History

Anyone dedicated music fan out there knows that a lot of popular singers and bands have been massively influenced by their surroundings when it comes to producing the music that you know and love.  Because of this knowledge, if you are a big fan of a particular band or singer, it might be a good idea to visit areas around the world that inspired some of your favorite songs. This will not only be a great cultural experience but will help encourage you to look for more information about your favorite songs and performers.

Liverpool

It’s easy to see why Liverpool would be the best holiday destination for any music lover.  This is because Liverpool is the birthplace of one of the greatest bands to ever perform, the Beatles. Liverpool has not forgotten the impact that the Beatles had on music and still actively celebrates them every day, with Beatle themed bars and the Beatle Museum. If you’re someone who loves the Beatles, then you’ll absolutely adore Liverpool. The original cavern club that the Beatles regularly performed in is also still open to the public to enjoy live music and very commonly a Beatles tribute act. Not only does Liverpool fulfill any dreams of a Beatles fan, but Liverpool also hosted a number of bands that you know and love. For example, Joy Division would regularly perform at the Hope and Anchor pub, a pub that is still open today. Meaning that you can sit back and enjoy a drink while basking in the location that once housed some great musicians. Liverpool itself is also just a lovely place to visit, with plenty of places to eat and many really popular hotels to stay in, you could make a week of it.

New Orleans

This spot is particularly popular for those who love to travel and will be an absolute culture shock for anyone who has never visited before. New Orleans is described as the ‘mixing pot’ of America, and you can see why. Many diverse music genres have had their starts in New Orleans and no more so than the blues and jazz genres. In the past, New Orleans had a mainly African American population, and with that came the love of blues. Hundreds of your favorite blues and soul singers originated from New Orleans and so if you are someone with a love for these genres, then you would be foolish to miss out on the opportunity to visit the location. There are plenty of tours of bars and popular spots where some of your favorite songs were performed and so you can really immerse yourself into what it would have been like to be a part of the growing New Orleans culture. New Orleans also has a spiritualist element to it, with many of its residents believing in the existence of ghosts and voodoo, so you would not be short on entertainment when you visited.

Manchester

Though Manchester may not be considered a holiday destination, for anyone that is a fan of the brit-pop genre, Manchester will be a dream come true. Manchester is the birthplace of some of the most popular bands to ever exist, like Oasis and The Smiths, and they have a lot of pride in these musical achievements. There are plenty of events every week that are dedicated to the indie and Britpop scene and so you will not be short of opportunities to enjoy your favorite music.
